Digital Speedos

The HillSpeed Digital Speedometer provides an economical additional or alternative vehicle speed display. It can be used in a range of situations where an accurate, easy to read, prominent display of speed is required and where warning of exceeding a maximum speed is either necessary or desirable.

These can include:

general motoring where speed limits apply.
industrial applications where OH&S requirements exist.
driver training and examinations.
where the existing vehicle speed display requires replacement.
where there is no existing speed display.
situations where constant vehicle speed is required.
where vehicle modifications such as different size wheel rims mean that the existing speed display is not accurate.

Both models of the HillSpeed Digital Speedometer accurately monitor speed and are designed to be mounted on the top of the dash of any vehicle, within the driver’s field of vision.

They have a large, easy to read display in all light conditions, with automatic brightness adjustment according to the light conditions. They are easily and safely read at a glance with no need for the driver to take their eyes off the road. They are aware of their speed at all times, allowing them to drive safely and avoid speeding fines.

There are 2 models available. Both are 12 volt and 24 volt compatible.

The standard display is in kilometres/hour. Units with miles/hour display are available on request .

Model HUD-09

This model uses an internal GPS module to provide speed sensing. It is suitable for any of the general applications listed above.

With its ‘plug and play’ design, it can be easily and quickly installed and be operating within a few minutes in any vehicle.

Its overspeed alarm can be set to any desired speed and quickly and easily programmed to give any combination of the in-built audible and visual alarms when that speed is exceeded.

It consists of the Display Module and features:

Accurate speed display in external locations.
Visual and audible over-speed alarms.
Options for plug and play or permanent power connection.

Model HUD-05

This model has a fixed wired connection to the vehicle speed sensing system. It can be used in general applications and locations where GPS satellite signals are not available, such as inside buildings. It has 2 parts; the Display Module, which is mounted above the dash and a Power Module.

It features:

Accurate speed display in any internal or external location.
Visual over-speed alarm.
